Special Collections

The Special Collections Department at Bryn Mawr College is reconsidering the histories of colonialism and racism that have influenced the formation and presentation of our collections of historical, 文化, and artistic material.

Bethany Collins exhibits new works of art at the College this spring, including a recent addition to special collections. 表演的 The Battle Hymn of the Republic: A Hymnal (2023) take place during the artist's residency on campus, March 16-21.

Bryn Mawr undergraduate students are invited to apply for 两(2) research assistant 职位 working on the ARCH (Art Remediating College Histories) Project. 

The ARCH Project 研究 Assistants will undertake extensive archival research to recover the names and, 在可能的情况下, the stories of these staff members. These 职位 offer students the opportunity to learn how to do historical research with primary sources, to recover unrecognized stories, and to share their experience and findings broadly. Interns will develop digital and material archives skills, as well as a deep understanding of how histories are constructed.
